Frequently Asked Questions

What age is the Play Village suitable for?

Whilst there are no age restrictions, all our props and play areas have been designed for children up to approximately 6 years.

We also have a 'Very Piccolo' play space for babies, under one, not quite ready to wander about our little village.

What are our opening times?

We are open Thursday to Monday and run 90-minute play sessions starting at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Sessions may vary daily, booking site will show current availability.

Are the play sessions supervised?

Our friendly staff are always on hand to make sure that our sessions run smoothly and safely however parent and guardians are responsible for the supervision of the children in their care at all times.

Can I rearrange my session?

All bookings are non-refundable however we understand the situations may arise where you need to change your session.

Therefore, we can transfer your session to another date providing 24 hours’ notice is given.

Can I wear shoes?

In order to maintain a high level of cleanliness no shoes are permitted within the play area and socks must be worn at all times.

Should you require them, socks can be purchased for a small fee from reception.

Is my booking refundable or transferable?

All bookings are non-refundable. If you can’t make a booked session, please contact us by emailing transfer@piccoloplayvillage.ie a minimum of 24 hours beforehand so that we can rearrange your session time.

One transfer per booking can be accommodated, subject to availability, within a 6 month period. We cannot transfer a booking multiple times. Partial transfers are not possible, if you need to reschedule your booking, all guests will be moved to the new date.

Is The Play Village wheelchair accessible?

Yes, we have a separate wheelchair accessible entrance and have disabled toilet facilities.

Whilst we hope everyone can enjoy our village, access to some of the play areas may be restricted due to the size of the spaces and the furniture within them.

Please give us a call prior to arrival and we will have a staff member meet you and bring you up to our village.

Can I bring my own food?

Apart from weaning babies, we ask that no food or drink is brought into the premises.

We have a café serving an array of hot and cold drinks as well as snacks.

Can I take photos?

Of course! As long as you are only taking pictures of your own children then you are more than welcome to snap away.

Can I bring my pram?

Unfortunately, prams are not permitted within our café or play area. All prams must be left in our buggy park.

Should you wish to, you are welcome to bring in car seats or alternatively we advise bringing a sling or baby carrier.

You are still welcome to come in on your arrival however your session will still end at the end of the original allotted 90 minutes.
