How It All Works
We believe our play village is of most benefit to children up to 6 years, however there is no age limit and if you feel your older child will enjoy imaginary play, they are more than welcome. We simply ask that they are mindful of our smaller visitors and keep play peaceful.
We kindly request that you remove your shoes before entering the village to help protect our play areas and little hands. Socks or slippers can be worn instead. If there are any sensory issues, please let us know, we are more than happy to accommodate.
Due to space restrictions and hygiene reasons, we cannot allow prams within our café or play area. If you do need to bring one, we can store it for you in our buggy area. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring in car seats or we advise bringing a sling or baby carrier.
5 minutes before the session ends, we ring a bell which encourages the children to join us as we tidy away the toys. We find this helps to prepare them for home time and may stop some of the tears when it comes to leave.
After each session we close briefly to allow us to reset and clean the play areas, this ensures that each child can benefit from experiencing the village and play areas at its absolute best.
